What is Internet football??

How do you play Football on computers?

"Internet football is not just about winning. It's about taking part and building bridges between rival sets of supporters."

Internet Football comprises of football teams from all over the world. Each team is made up of fans from official football clubs, League and non-league and are brought together through mailing lists & messageboards representing those fans.

Like the professional game, Internet Football is controlled by a Football Association called the Internet Football Association (IFA).
Teams can play up to 20 League games a season, with a max of 2 games per opposition and as many friendlies as they like.
Games are announced prior to the event on the IFA Yahoogroups mailing list and Results are announced in the same way within 7 days of the game taking place.
There is 1 main league for all teams, but also sperate Leagues for the London & Scottish clubs.
As well as the League there is also the IFA cup competition and the annual Worldnet tournament.

The most important thing to remember is that your team doesn't have to be any good. The winning teams at WorldNet are no better than a very average Sunday team and most of the other participating teams were a whole lot worse. It's more about taking part, than about winning. Matches are played in a friendly spirit. The idea is to promote fellowship and reconciliation amongst rival soccer fans.
