Internet Foxes vs Preston North End

Internet Foxes 3 Preston North End 2
Date: 15th April 2006
Venue: Aylestone Park F.C. (Leicester)

An excellent squad of 15 players - including 3 goalkeepers beat Preston 3-2 and we even missed another penalty - thats 4 in the league plus 1 at Huddersfield.
So Tom's name is added to the list of Lee Stone/Luke H/Jamie J and Paul S to have missed this season.
I think its the turn of the defenders to take the next one and show these strikers how it is done!!
An excellent all round team performance.

Scorers were - Tom Measures (not from the penalty spot), Luke Holyoake and Dazza ( I think this is his first for the Foxes but I will leave that to Bernie to confirm that!!)
I am not trying to replace Bernie's match report ( I know he is very busy at the moment so he does not always have time to do match reports) but I just wanted to let everyone know that the pictures from the match and their match report is already up on the Preston web site

Some great action photos of both our and the main game in the afternoon

Well Phil has said enough really so I won't say much more.
I will mention Luke H's miss from about 5 yards though. He blasted the ball over with a left footed shot after beating about three defenders. There were some pretty poor misses from both sides during the game.
The game was played on the main pitch at Aylestone Park FC which was great.
The football played by both sides was excellent and the game was played in the right spirits.
Our referee (Lee S) let the power go to his head a bit though :-)
Tom's goal was a good one, Luke's goal trickled in the far corner and if I was Tom I'd have blasted it in and claimed the goal myself.
Dazza's goal was indeed his first goal for the IF's but when you consider the nightmare he had in goal the previous game I'd say that he is currently -2 on the goal front!
Tom missed a penalty but once again it was a great save. Lee S and Luke H's recent penalties were also hit very well with the keepers making great diving saves. I'm sure we'll get one in eventually. I think Kev B should be our new penalty taker! Or perhaps Stevie P??
Well done to everyone involved - I think it was close to our best team performance this season!
And 3 wins in our last 4 games which is pretty impressive.
